The forerunner of Oil
City Iron Works, Inc. was established in 1866 on its present
site as a small machine shop and foundry.
Since 1985, Oil City Iron Works has expanded significantly and
has diversified its products into lines such as valves, pumps,
power generation, gas turbine and compression parts, mining
equipment, as well as general oilfield equipment. Oil City Iron
Works, Inc. is a 100% jobbing shop all "Made in the USA" with
over 7,000 active patterns. |

Foundry |
|
|
|
We offer solid
diversity to produce quality castings up to 8,000 lbs. Our
facility offers the necessary processes to meet Customer
requirements and specifications. Whether provided in-house or
outsourced, we are your one stop source for your casting needs.
We have three types of
core making processes and six different molding lines utilizing
both green sand and chemically bonded sands. Our melting
capabilities are centered on two induction furnaces which allow
us to melt multiple metal types simultaneously. Castings are
made ready for shipping or final processes in our 15,000 sq. ft.
dedicated cleaning facility. |

Machine Shop |
|
|
Whether its a rough
cut, a qualifying cut or precision finished machining, our
Machine Shop is tooled to handle the same size & geometry of
castings that we produce in the Foundry. On production runs, we
routinely perform a documented 100% inspection at the bench and
retain those documents to satisfy Customers inspection
requirements. |

Pattern Shop |
|
|
Our 10,300 sq. ft.
climate controlled pattern shop is fully equipped to meet
Customer supplied requirements and specifications. Our full-time
master pattern makers have the expertise to develop hardwood or
urethane tooling from your supplied prints, models, or drawings.
We can also adapt your existing tooling to fit our facility,
make necessary repairs and maintain patterns for accuracy.
We have 66,000 sq. ft.
of dedicated warehouse space alarmed for security and fire
protection of your tooling. These multiple warehouses are
conveniently located adjacent to the Foundry and retrofitted
with custom fabricated racks which provide organization for
quick and easy access. |

Quality Assurance |
|
|
|
It is the policy of
Oil City Iron Works, Inc. to maintain a quality assurance
program which assures compliance with specifications contained
in accepted customer purchase orders. This program has been
prepared primarily in accordance with the requirements of ISO
9001:2000.
We pride ourselves on
being an environmentally-friendly manufacturer in controlling
and complying with emission control, hazardous waste transport
and control, as well as storm water runoff monitoring and
compliance. |

Heat Treat |
|
|
|
We have modernized our
heat treat capabilities with the addition of two new high
efficiency car-bottom furnaces in 2008, which provides the
flexibility to operate 24/7. We currently offer 22 available
heat treatment cycles, from stress relief to induction
hardening. |

|
|
Coatings |
|
|
|
As part of our focus
on "value added" services, we have installed a 5,000 sq. ft.
in-house coating facility. This versatility allows us to provide
unique customer requirements without the need for multiple
downstream suppliers.

Shipping |
|
|
|
In 2007 we built a
dedicated shipping warehouse for packaging, consolidating, and
staging shipments to accommodate Customer preferences. We
operate a fleet of trucks for intrastate deliveries to
supplement commercial carriers. |
