Happy New Year Texas AFS Members

As we start 2012, I just wanted to send out my best wishes to all of our Members. We have a very exciting program set for this New Year.

It starts with our January 27, 2012 meeting at the Sam Houston Racetrack. Our speaker will be talking about recent developments on the Fracking
Industry and how that effects our product selection. I know past meetings
at the track have been well attended, and hope all of you can make this
event.

Our February meeting will be held in Lufkin, Texas. Ralph & Kacoos
always puts on a good spread, and this is Past Chairman’s Night. We
get to recognize some really good Foundrymen, who have guided our
Texas AFS Chapter, to where it is today.

Our April meeting is going to be held at TSU – San Marcos, Texas. This
is one of the most important meetings of the year, where we get to see
and talk to the next leaders of our Industry & AFS Chapter. We also get
to see how TSU has grown their Foundry Program into one of the best
in the Nation.

And come June, we are going back to Tapitio Resort, for the Family
Outing. I can tell you first hand, that this resort has become a World
Class Resort. The entire complex has been renovated, and the golf
courses are in great shape. Our members also get the opportunity to
spend some time in beautiful San Antonio, my home town. I know this
is going to be an event you are not going to want to miss.

In conclusion, we need your help to get our New Year off on the right
foot. Please take the time to attend our meetings. The only way we are
going to remain the “Best AFS Chapter in the Nation”, is with your participation. I look forward to seeing you at the meetings, and thank
you for your attention to this information.

Sincerely,

Dan Yrigoyen
Chairman – Texas AFS Chapter

PS. Don’t forget about our Texas Trouble Shooter seminar in January
or our CMI Course in San Marcos in April.
