The American Foundry Society
(AFS) was founded in 1896 and has grown to an
international organization of approximately
13,000 members in 47 countries. Fifty-three
local chapters and 28 student chapters in the
United States, Canada and Mexico are affiliated
with AFS.
The AFS assists member
companies and individuals to effectively and
efficiently manage all production operations, to
profitably market their products and services,
and to equitably manage their employees. The AFS
also promotes the interests of the foundry
industry before the legislative and executive
branches of the federal government.
With the direction of its
volunteer committee structure, the professional
staff of AFS provides support in the areas of
technology, management and education to further
activities that will enhance the economic
progress of the metalcasting industry.
TEXAS CHAPTER MISSION STATEMENT
